The “crowd clock” has been turned back by 20 years. We have night surfing!
The sun has set … but the Inside Ekas surf break is brightly lit. Nobody out because the lights are just for our guests with zero others, everyone totally relaxed. Just like surfing 25 years ago.
2024 was successful and we put more lights for 2025.
Night surfing is the same as daytime, without the sunburn. The waves are just as addictive. We’ve gone hard core with night staff and beer. The boat service is same as daytime down a well-lit path to a well-lit beach, except it waits for you while you surf. And we have personal waterproof torches on an arm band for each guest. They’re high-powered aids to add to the fun.
Viewing the fish life is better under lights. Sometimes the Bay is fluorescent – an experience you will never forget.And remember that the wind is often lighter, peace and harmony are amazing, while comradery goes into orbit without any distractions.
You might like to bring a light-weight wetsuit top.
Surfing at night may be a bit frightening to some people at first but you’ll adapt quickly. Kids, lads and lassies have all participated and everyone has a great time.
